Dance of LIFE!

In dance improvisation, nobody is ever dancing wrongly, or awkwardly, or perceived to be evil/mean/selfish just because they dance differently from you. In fact, we love variety! we love conflicts even! there’s beauty and creativity in creating both conflicts and harmony.

Even though we move differently, one will try to accommodate and be led, the other will sense this allowing and shift to leading the overall movement. It then becomes a dance of leading and following, with almost everyone having a fair share of leading and following, no one ever leads or follows ALL the time. It’s a dance of active and passion actions, or seeing the beauty in someone’s dance, and having confidence in moving your own way at the same time. nobody ever gossips about how another moves during dance. We just move and flow and CREATE as it goes along. We become fellow CREATORs of the dance, with no idea how the dance is going to evolve, and yet being excited in the process and curious of how it’ll turn out at the same time.

In dance improvisation, Variety is GOOD. Being different is GOOD. Daring to move the way you want is GOOD.

I love to think of life as a dance evolving on its own, as everyone just being different with their own set of values and beliefs. We’re here to DISCOVER, to MOVE, to CREATE, to INTERACT. enjoy the DANCE of LIFE, and I hope we keep the spirit of DANCE as our paths cross. :-)
